Michael Dekker

Growing up and residing in mid-coast Maine, Mike Dekker has developed a life long interest in the region's past. An avid student of 17th and 18th century American history and material culture, he presents educational programs for local and state historical societies, state historic sites, museums, schools and the public. Mike is currently working on two new books about Maine's colonial history. In his upcoming works Mike plans to explore the history of the region's 17th century fisheries as well as the story of land claims and failed aspirations along the mid coast from the native people of the early 17th century to Henry Knox.

Come meet Michael Dekker and dozens of additional authors at this year's Books in Boothbay, coming on July 8!
